I started sending you a message but it disappeared before I sent it.
I wanted to Thank you so much for your part in the blessing of the quilt.
I felt so much joy on Sunday morning and I am sure the other quilters did , also.
Sometimes, little things can give us so much joy.
When Will walked into the Church , I was overwhelmed.
Thank you, thank you
Kate
Dear Kate,
Thank you for your beautiful message. It brought a big smile to my face – much like Sunday morning did!
I have to say, your introductory remarks were simply perfect. You set such a warm and thoughtful tone that the moment felt alive with joy and gratitude. You made it easy for us to see the heart and hands behind the quilt – and the love stitched into every square.
I couldn’t agree more – sometimes, the little things bring us the greatest joy. And seeing the quilters’ faces light up? Well, that was a “little thing” that warmed the whole sanctuary. And Will walking in? What a blessing – it was like a living stitch connecting the moment to something greater.
Thank you for sharing your heart and for making Sunday so special for everyone. We’re all richer for the gifts you and the quilters shared.

Kate,
Thank you for taking on the task of designing the beautiful quilt with Tim’s stoles and sewing love into every stitch. I don’t know all your helpers but their work is truly appreciated by our congregations.
I’m certain this lovely artwork will hold a special place in Will’s memories of Tim.
I was also moved by Kate’s message on behalf of the quilters, and glad for the joy she felt during the presentation of Tim’s quilt to the congregation. As Brian said it is a work of art and design that Will will appreciate forever.
I feel incredibly moved and thankful for this wonderful labour of love performed by Kate and the other quilters. You absolutely shone with love and pride as you presented the quilt! It was truly heartwarming.
David, your words around the blessing of the quilt were perfect. I’m sure that many, like myself, found some measure of peace and comfort in them. Thank you
I absolutely concur. The quilters quietly standing by their beautiful work of art following Kate’s amazing introduction would have been a “stand alone” even without the blessing. LOL! I think it was blessed in the process.

Wonderful blog this morning David. Beautiful words.
Definitely brought tears of joy and sadness!
Thank you, Betty. It certainly “stole” the service….. oh that’s bad, isn’t it?
Catch up with you soon.
